SCS Attends Microsoft Partner Advisory Council Meetings in Seattle (PAC)

Earlier this month, SCS attended Microsoft’s quarterly PAC meetings near Microsoft Headquarters in Seattle. SCS is one of 16 Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS) Partners to sit on this influential committee which advises Microsoft in the strategic direction of MBS.

During the 2-day session, the group heard from Microsoft on future plans and programs being put in motion to, among other things, increase partner effectiveness in servicing customers. The PAC team participated in dialogues with key Microsoft representatives to fine tune the direction and execution of these programs.

Featured speakers at the event included Microsoft Senior Vice President Orlando Ayala, who is responsible for Microsoft's Worldwide Small and Mid-market Solutions and serves as chief operating officer (COO) for the Microsoft Business Solutions group, and Microsoft General Manager for Managed Partners, Don Nelson.

At the beginning of his Q&A session with partners, Orlando Ayala gave a presentation that reiterated Microsoft’s commitment to the Microsoft Business Solutions suite of products, including Navision and Axapta. Microsoft’s investment this year of close to $1 Billion is unsurpassed by any software company in the world.

Don Nelson in his session focused on partner feedback on various aspects of products, services and support in MBS. “A lot of our feedback to Microsoft is based on our interactions with our customers,” stated SCS President Helen Russell. “It is important that our customers know that their feedback, concerns and needs go straight to the top at these meetings,” she added.

“Some extremely exciting things are on their way to both the partner channel and to our customers as a result of these meetings,” commented SCS Director of Public Relations and Marketing Audrey Schmedes who represented SCS at PAC this month. “This is going to be a very big year for the Microsoft Business Solutions group.”
